About This Temple
The Manivedika Shakti Peeth, also called Manibandh, stands in Pushkar, near Ajmer in Rajasthan. Tradition holds that Sati's wrists fell here. The goddess is worshipped as Gayatri, with Sarvanand as her Bhairava. Pushkar also has one of the very few temples in India dedicated to Brahma, beside Pushkar Lake with its 52 ghats. The Savitri temple on Ratnagiri hill, reached by ropeway, looks over the town.
