The Ratnavali Shakti Peeth is identified with a shrine at Khanakul in Hooghly district, West Bengal, locally called Anandamayee Tala. Tradition holds that Sati's right shoulder fell here, beside the Ratnakar river. The goddess is Kumari, with Ghanteshwar as her Bhairava. Khanakul is rural and low-lying.
