About This Temple

Hinglaj Mata's cave shrine lies in Hingol National Park in Lasbela district, Balochistan, Pakistan, about 250 km west of Karachi. Tradition holds that the crown of Sati's head, the brahmarandhra, fell here. The Hinglaj Mata Shakti Peeth is named first in several lists. The goddess is Kottari, known to devotees as Hinglaj Mata or Nani Mandir, with Bhimlochan as her Bhairava. There is no idol. A small stone is worshipped inside a natural cave. Each spring, tens of thousands of Pakistani Hindus walk to the shrine for the Hinglaj Yatra, climbing mud volcanoes on the way. For Indian citizens a visit needs a Pakistani visa, rarely granted for this pilgrimage. Many communities in Rajasthan and Gujarat worship Hinglaj Mata at local temples instead.

Day-by-day sacred itinerary will be customized to your darshan schedule and arrival timings.
