Janasthan Shakti Peeth
Dedicated to Goddess Bhramari
- Nashik and Vani, Maharashtra
About This Temple
Janasthan Shakti Peeth, where tradition says Sati's chin fell, is placed in Nashik district, Maharashtra. The goddess is Bhramari, with Vikritaksh as her Bhairava. Two sites carry the claim. One is Panchavati in Nashik, the forest tradition links with Ram's exile. The other is Saptashrungi Devi at Vani, about 60 km north. There an eighteen-armed goddess is carved into a rock face on a hill of seven peaks. A funicular carries pilgrims up, or you can climb about 500 steps.
Day-by-day sacred itinerary will be customized to your darshan schedule and arrival timings.
