About This Temple
Nageshwar Jyotirlinga stands on the road between Dwarka and Beyt Dwarka in Devbhumi Dwarka district, Gujarat. A seated Shiva statue about 25 m high marks the site from the road. The linga sits in an underground sanctum. Tradition links the site to the Shiva Purana story of the devotee Supriya and the demon Daruka. Aundha Nagnath in Maharashtra and Jageshwar in Uttarakhand also claim this Jyotirlinga.
