Lankeshwar Temple is a historic hilltop shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the western Jalukbari area of Guwahati near Gauhati University. According to local folk traditions, King Ravana of Lanka worshipped Lord Shiva at this elevated hillock during ancient times.
